Director of Business Development

CemtrexLabs is looking for a Director of Business Development to join our sales team for our software development agency in our Brooklyn office. We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic sales expert who can go out and win new business. This person will be selling software development services, for augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), mobile, web, and enterprise-level applications, to customers ranging from start-ups to the world’s leading brands.

In this role, you will need to identify and analyze business opportunities, develop, and implement client pursuit strategies in specific targeted markets. This role reports to the EVP, Sales, and Marketing, who will provide overall direction regarding priorities, business development strategy support, and performance feedback.

Candidates must have experience selling bespoke technology solutions at the enterprise level, be presentable, well-spoken, and have a professional demeanor over the phone and in person. He/she must also be well-versed in technology, software, and current trends within these markets. An existing network to tap into is a plus but not mandatory.

  • Prospect and meet with industry leaders about their software development needs, understand application needs, and work with internal team to create solutions (outbound and inbound leads)
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline to meet and/or exceed growth targets
  • Engage in daily sales activity including, cold/warm/follow-up calls, social networking, customer meetings, presentations, demos, and industry events
  • Meet and consult with clients regarding creative, pre-production, production deliverables
  • Create proposals, quotations, and presentations to submit to Customers to win new business
  • Work with internal project management and development organization to ensure streamlined budgeting and delivery of quality work as a team
  • Acting in a traditional “Account Management” role: keeping in touch with clients and overseeing project execution to maximize revenue.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Has 4+ years of experience, with some combination of: digital, mobile, web product, consumer-tech, social media strategy, digital marketing
  • Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc) & Google Suite
  • Experienced in using CRM (Hubspot is a plus)
  • Has a mixture of startup and enterprise experience
  • Has knowledge and experience in the production of digital products
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and build relationships at the EVP, SVP, VP level of a Fortune 1000 organization
  • Demonstrated ability to generate, shape, and close deals with seven-figure total contract values
  • Has an insatiable curiosity and knowledge about all things tech, mobile, apps, etc
  • Has strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Has an innate ability to synthesize various data, learnings, and research to articulate the most important and actionable insights
  • Has strong visual thinking and storytelling abilities, simplifying complex concepts and strategies through design and logic
  • Is comfortable standing in front of a client or a room full of peers to give their opinion or a presentation
  • Maintains the highest standards of operational excellence
  • Comfortable with ~25% domestic travel
